Following heavy rainfall and flooding in GA. Kolamaafushi, floodwaters have now been completely drained from the island's roads. However, dewatering and cleaning operations are still underway in several flooded households.

In one of the most severely affected homes, overflowing toilets resulted in sewage contamination, with the residence also suffering a power outage since last night. The Island Council, in collaboration with the MNDF, is currently prioritizing this household to provide urgent assistance.

NDMA, in coordination with the Island Council and relevant agencies, continues to assess the overall damage and provide essential relief support to those affected by the incident.
