The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), in collaboration with the Maldivian Red Crescent and USAID, convened a stakeholder meeting to review the Enhanced Vulnerability and Capacity Assessment (EVCA) toolkit and guidelines under the Community-Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM) programme.
The meeting focused on evaluating the EVCA toolkit and guidelines, which serve as a critical tool for identifying and promoting the adoption of disaster prevention measures with active community involvement.
Attendees from various sectors participated in the meeting, engaging in discussions and sharing insights on potential updates to the toolkit and guidelines. Such collaborative efforts are expected to further strengthen national disaster preparedness strategies
