The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) responded to a fire incident that occurred this afternoon in an apartment on the 23rd floor of Hulhumale' Hiya Tower 11. No injuries were reported in this incident.

The fire caused irreparable damage to the apartment's kitchen. Due to smoke damage inside the home, this Authority has arranged one day of temporary accommodation and five days of meal provisions for the four individuals residing in the apartment.

This Authority appeals to the public to always be vigilant in preventing fire incidents and to pay close attention to fire safety measures.
